June 6th Newsletter

This year sure went by quickly!  It was fun watching everyone mature, learn to read, and also begin to write stories.  The children have come a long way since the beginning of the year!  I will be sending home a folder of their work samples so you may see the progress that has been made.

Our trip to Blackberry Farm was a success, even though it rained early on.  Thank you to all the parents that chaperoned our field trip for being so flexible.  The rain did not stop the children from having a good time.  I enjoyed it also.

End of the Year Picnic
The end of the year picnic will be on Monday, June 9. We will be going outside (weather permitting) for quite a while in the morning.  You may want to put some sunscreen on your child that morning to make sure he/she doesn't burn.
The PTO will be supplying lunch which will consist of a hot dog, potato chips, watermelon, a juice box and a popsicle.  If your child does not like this lunch, just send a sack lunch to school that day.  Thanks.

I would love to hear from everyone over the summer. My address is:

Mrs. Micetich
250 W. Division St.
Coal City, IL  60416

Please remember to include a return address so I can write a short note back.  I love to get mail and I’m sure that they do too.  Have a great summer!
