Bar
Graphs/Show and Tell
This week we worked on using picture
graphs and bar graphs in math. The
children used their own pictures to vote on what they wanted to do for earning
10 marbles due to good behavior. They
came up with 5 different reward choices. Then, one-by-one, each student placed
his/her picture next to the reward they wanted.
The class chose to have “show and tell” on Friday, March 14. They may bring in a picture, a special toy or
stuffed animal, or any other special item (no electronics or live pets). We will take some time in the morning to have
this special “show & tell” time.
There won’t be a student of the week next week since
there is no school on Monday and Tuesday.

Math
Last
week we worked on making our own story problem booklets. Each child worked with a partner to make up a
couple of story problems to go into our book.
When they finished, they read the problem to me and I typed it into the
computer. We stapled it into a booklet
and the children can work on it during math centers. They did a nice job on it.
Have a Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
