First Grade Music Concert
Our 1st grade musical, HATS! will be on Thursday, March 26th at 7:00pm in
the Lakeview Junior High gymnasium.
Students should arrive at 6:45pm and meet their teacher in the auxiliary
gym. Thanks.

Since March 2nd was
Dr. Suess’ birthday, we explored his official website, www.seussville.com, during computer
time. You may access this website at
home also. There are many activities for
the children to explore on this site.
They really enjoyed it.
Remember
to change your clocks this weekend and also the batteries in your smoke
detectors.
Reading
In this
unit we will be reading fairy tales and fables. This week we read The Boy Who
Cried Wolf. We worked on
visualizing and also comparing this story to the story of Chicken Little.
The vocabulary words for
this week were: prank, shepherd, company, tended, and startled

The following comprehension

Phonics Skills
We will work on base words
and endings, the vowel pair “ew”” and syllabication (VCCV Pattern).
